Horse:canters in. "I challenge Shadow Cat to a mental challenge!"
Shadow Cat:The dragoness glides down to him swiftly. Then come with me. She drops to all fours and races into a cavern, pitch black. Becomeing one with the darkness.
Horse:Looks around inside the cave, unsure where she is.
Shadow Cat:In here you must use your sences to find my next steps. Her mind voice trails off. Ice covers the entire ground. "Just to make things more intersting. The echos bend my voice, darkness dims your sight so you cannot see me,the ice will take your touch away. You must use your remaining sences to find me.
Horse:Takes a wiff of the air. He catches a wiff of her sent and trys to follow it.
Shadow Cat:As he aproches she smiles. Good. A wave of air blows past him as she darts farther down the cavern. Flames well up on torches as she races into a hole at the back.
Horse:Hesitantly follows her down the hole.
Shadow Cat:She sees the horse comeing down the hole after her and Flares her wings as she walks across a thick bridge of ice. She waits at the center of the deadly slipary bridge.
Horse:He takes a deep breath and takes a steep across the bridge.
Shadow Cat:She cracks the bridge at the center. A 5ft gap apears. The bridge becomes less stable and the bottom of the cliff alights with flame as lightning cracks it.
Horse:He countinues to cross with caution.
Shadow Cat:She flys to the other side and lays down to watch.
Horse:He reaches the gap and calls out to her. "What am I suposed to do now?"
Shadow Cat:She shakes her head. "Heres a hint. Life is a narrow bridge,a narrow narrow bridge. But the most important thing is to know how much what you seek is worth."
Horse:He stops and nods solmly. "So your saying is it worth the risk?"
Shadow Cat:She smiles. "What do you think?"
Horse:He leaps across the gap...and lands on the ice's surface.
Shadow Cat:Groans and covers her eyes as the ice shatters under his feet.
Horse:Winnies in terror as he falls into the abiss below. "Help me!" He crys.
Shadow Cat:She gets up and watches him. "Living without power is greater than dieing with it. Tell me horse, what is your worst fear?" Her eyes blaze like the fires below.
Horse:He sudunly understands. "I'm not afraid!" He yells. He lands in the flames.
Shadow Cat:The flames cover him but do not burn. She smiles and flys down to him. "You have earned it."
