The portfolio may be seen as one possible result of the search for an evaluation that can inter-relate the teaching/learning process mediated by the dialogue between teacher and learner. Its aim should be to evaluate the learning process as well as the teaching methods. The portfolio/web folio is a tool in many courses. Its “origin” can be noticed in the arts field - artists select parts of their works and present it in a portfolio. The portfolio can be used as an evaluation tool, supported by a constructivist conception. However, it should not be only a way of collecting work in order to grade the students. It should be adapted to work as a continuous evaluation, stimulating students’ reflection on their own production.
