Perhaps Jeopardy has all of those traits, but he also has something a Light King should most definetely be without: bloodlust. The Andalusian is willing to kill to get the throne, whilst the Welsh Cob has never killed, not once in all his growing collection of years. The bravery it takes to kill another beast amounts to far less than the strength of heart it sometimes takes not to bring about another's destruction.

His nostrils flare wide with a snort and he nods sharply to his opponent, the chestnut's mind shifting into that state of perfect calm in which he always fights. The Cob is an experienced fighter and knows full well that while passion and intensity can prove useful in battle, so can the clear-headed ability to think and react in a fraction of a second. Using his power of the Mind, the stallion essentially turns his pain receptors to low- he will have to feel pain to know where he has been hit and the extent of damage, but why cloud the mind with agony if it can be avoided?

Next he pulls back and rears. No battle cry escapes from his lips, no sound of the thrill of the fight, for that would indicate that the King is enjoying this escapade, something which could not be farther from the truth. He loves the challenge as much as the next male, but indeed he detests causing harm to another living beast. Of course, that will not stop him winning this battle because it is a fight for self-defense, a fight for his own life and for his kingdom he loves with all his soul and which he will never surrender to one who wishes to take it by force.

Lunging forward, the extremely powerful chestnut lashes out with first one front hoof and then the other, aiming for front and neck while his head darts forward, teeth snapping for the throat- not the well-protected jugular, mind you, but the airways that will suffocate his opponent should he reach them.
