Hey John,

I lived on the corner of East 85 and Avenue L during the early 1960's. That's where I lived when on February 9, 1964, I watched the Beatles first American Performance on the Ed Sullivan Show on my parents' B & W TV. Life has never been the same since. I've played guitar ever since then.
My 13 year old son is my newest "Guitar Hero". I later moved to East 83 between Ave M & N, where I eventually joined bands from SSHS (SPUNK) who performed at the Seaview Pool Club and Brooklyn College (Skydog) who played at Brooklyn College.
I now live in Florida, but yearn for the old days in Canarsie and playing in garage bands for fun and dreams.
Some of the band members from SPUNK were Bobby Ellison (drums), Jeff Lowy (keyboards and bass) and Jeff Levy (guitar). The band members from Skydog include Gary Ingber (deceased - guitar) and Gery D'Angelo (guitar).
Do you know any of them?
