Subject: I was one

I was one of those Canarsie musicians. That and a buck fifty won't even get me (or you) a freaking Starbucks Grande Coffee! Oh well, they used to have a lot more posts on this page before my pal Gregg reformatted it. I'll just add my piece here and tell the world that at one time, for a brief moment, Canarsie had some rockin dudes there. I was one of em. Not quite in the same league financially as Pete Criss, Warren Cuccurullo, Leslie West and the guys from The Knack (all had Canarsie roots), but I certainly was in the same good musician league and the same "image" league. For a while anyway! I remember the gigs and the chicks. I remember hangin at Speaks on Friday nights and Max's KC on Saturday nights. I remember the white Capezio shoes and Huckapoo(open to the 3rd button) shirts. Used to go to Steve's pants and get me these certain Faded Glory jeans. Not for nuthin fellas, when I was wearin them, I WAS hot shit! Being in the zone, so to speak. Anyway, like millions of others, I had to give up my R&R dreams and get s job! But I did write Promised Land (words and music) and I did record it (sing and play all instrument tracks except drums)and I did get airtime on WBAB. At least that's something. So have a listen. Gregg has my song linked to the web-site. Check out the song and let me know how much it sucks, or doesn't. C-ya.
