*Midnight's Shadow gallops over to a nearby blackberry bush and ignores the sharp pokes as she burries her muzzle in the vines, carefully snipping off a length of the tangled branches. Since the blackberries were not quite ripe, there were beautiful blossoms instead of berries. But since this was the Evil Lands, the blossoms were black and deep violet. The ebony mare proceeds to tangle the vine into a circle, and after what seemed like ages of pricks and pokes, she holds up a crudely fashioned crown, a few select thorns nibbled off so they won't poke Angel's head. Pleased with her work, she trots back to Angel, a great deal more scruffy then she had been before*
