In very little time, you find a ditch. You follow it along, and the forrest around you steadily drops away refealing the stone trunks and rock stumps of a once great forest. Many years ago, the plaec was covered by mud in a flood, and the trees dies, absorbing the minerals. Over time, the soft mudstone was washed away, leaving almost perfect remains of trees. Continuing to folow the ditch, you come upon a trickle of mud. Continuing to walk through this, you are soon wading up to your belly, and the forest around you has again become green. Continuing on, you are soon swiming against the current, and you do so for the rest of the day.

Come evening, you have strugled your way up the rock-face of a waterfall, and through narrow crevaces, to reach a place where the water is somewhat shallow. You are thouroughly exhausted after a day of climbing, swiming, and walking through shallower water. There is a dry rock just up stream, which is the only possible place for rest you have seen lately.
