It was william hedley appleby my gt g/father who married both Sarah Gleave & Elizabeth Welch. He left Elizabeth & his young daughter Mary Anne, supposedly to find work on America. Through his railway employment records I found that he stated that he was going to Canada. He never returned to our knowledge. Have as yet been unable to trace him.
