I have just started to research my husbands family -
Mother Eleanor Deas Appleby
Grandmother Martha Isabella Appleby (later married **Heslop)
Greatgrandparents: John George Appleby & Ann Deas
G.G.grandfather Thomas Appleby.
On the marriage certificate of John & Ann married in the parish church of Southwick. Co. Durham.
Thomas Appleby was a Caulker.
I don`t know if this fits with your family.,
John George Appleby was born 1860.
