Subject: Appleby Stephenson

Looking for APPLEBYs who married STEPHENSONs in Yorkshire after 1750 but before 1817. I have a relative named Appleby Stephenson (b 1817 Foxholes Yorkshire). There is only one person with this name that i can find recorded in the East Yorkshire area of England. I have a fair amount of info on him but i am looking to find how he got the name which i assume is coming from some relative in his near past. I have two marriages a Jane Stephenson married to a Thomas Appleby late 1700s and a Francis Read married to a Hannah Appleby in 1789. As it turns out my Appleby Stephenson's parents were William Stephenson married to Hannah Read. I believe Hannah (READ being the first marriage STEPHENSON the second marriage)is my Appleby connection. does anyone have any info tying into this scenario?
