Subject: Applegate to Applebee

Looking for a William Applegate in NJ. He had three sons, William Jr, Thomas and Jacob (b 1795). Thomas and Jacob moved to PA and changed their last name to Applebee after the father remarried. Does this sound familiar with anyone?
