Our immigrant ancestors: James Charles Appleby & Mary
were born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England in February 24, 1815.
He and his wife Mary were married in England about 1836.
They had five children there: Ann, Catherine Bryant, John, Thomas, & William. This information is documented in an obituary for James C.Appleby's youngest son James C. Appleby Jr, born in Galena Illinois, USA.
The Appleby's moved from Illinois to Nebraska as Pioneers and remained there to prosper that family line.
James Immigrated to America in 1855 (or 1856), Mary followed three years later,in 1858, with their five children.
I have no documents, church records or Census reports from England. They were very faithful Protestant/Wesleyan people.
Would love to connect with someone who knows of their ancestors.
