Subject: Sugar Cookies Author: Ivy [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:38:10 12/13/03 Sat 1 stick butter 1 cup granulated sugar 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 large egg, beat lightly 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Cream sugar and butter. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture;beat well. Add egg and vanilla; beat again until well mixed. Divide dough in half. Wrap dough in plastic. Refrigirate for one hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Flour a cutting board. Roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness on cutting board. Use cookie cutters to make shapes.
