Beauty, brains, social service and ambition to achieve not only for her but also to represent others of her country. Being a special education English teacher she seems to give her time and energy to causes that empower under represented groups in Sri Lanka, such as children and women. I personally think that takes a lot of perseverance and compassion on her part to do so. If she is crowned as Miss Universe, she will be a great representative for she has the building blocks to be one of the world's greatest people!!! |

Anyone familiar with the show would be immediately struck by Anabella Hilal’s (current candidate in Miss Lebanon 2005) resemblance to the American comic heroine!! After the recent release of all the show’s episodes on DVD, it looks like Hollywood is getting ready to greenlight a big-screen version of Wonder Woman. The current front runner of the role is Sandra Bullock, partly due to her relationship to Warner Bros., where she has spent much of her career. Even Jennifer Lopez has expressed her interest in the role, during an interview on MTV. Rumour has it though that WB are in the direction of casting fresh faces (like they did back in the days with Christopher Reeve as Superman), allowing an actress to come in the role without “baggage”. So, after viewing the presentation photos, I'm choosing the following as the most likely to be in a semifinal 20: Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Australia, Colombia, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Denmark, Ukraine, Israel, Puerto Rico, USA, Serbia & Montenegro, Germany, Russia, Croatia, Canada and Venezuela. Other possibilities are: Jamaica, France, Belgium, Poland, Georgia, India, El Salvador, Indonesia, Argentina, South Africa, St. Lucia, Phillipines, Bolivia, Peru, Kazakstan, Cayman Islands, China, Japan, Chile and Peru. En relación al TOP 20 considero que es sumamente difícil hacerlo cuando hay tanta latina buena pero hay que recordar que no sólo de latinas está hecho el grupo de semifinalistas, existen las europeas, africanas, y todas aquellas misses de Asia y el Pacifico Sur que si bien especulo no son competencia este año para ninguna latina hay que tomarlas en cuenta también. The young ladies that compete in this system work hard and endure many hard ships to fulfill their goals and accomplishments. Many young women trust and believe in this system, yet it is unfortunate that many entities that run pageants within this same system damage its integrity such as the Miss Florida USA organization. A recent article came out in one of the Florida news papers (Panama City), mentioning that Cristen Duren, Miss Florida USA 2006, has not been reimbursed for her travels and has not been issued her prizes. Ms. Duren just placed a lawsuit against the Gravitts after completing a full year of her reign. How many past queens faced the same situations yet have felt they had no other choice but to hold back their claims? Recently at the 2007 coronation a young lady by the name of Jena Edwards was crowned Miss Florida USA when 5 out of the 6 judges agreed that their choice for the crown was Yazmin Navarro the 1st runner up. It was sad to see that even as Miss Edwards was being crowned the crowd was still cheering for Miss Navarro. It was even more disappointing to see that at the coronation cocktail the attention was focused on the 1st runner up and the one wearing the crown was completely ignored. What happened there? Was it that the 1st runner ups last name is Navarro? Was it convenient for the Florida organization for Edwards to win due to her charitable organization? Is it required now to have National experience? Could they have simply switched the names around? Basically the Gravitts have been running a scam and benefiting their pocket's courtesy of the hopes and dreams of young ladies in the state of Florida. They are a racist organization that adapts final scores to their benefit and it is made visible on live television year after year. What is even more disappointing is that Yazmin Navarro could have taken Florida to their first National title and even all the way to Miss Universe. This young lady has what it takes to compete against all the Latin American Goddesses and win. Now we know why Florida never wins at Miss USA. Having said all this, I would like to request that the Miss Universe Organization get involved in the Miss Florida USA system and conduct a thorough investigation of their records. I truly hope that the Ms. Paula Shubert, President of the Miss Universe Organization and Mr. Donald Trump, Chairman and President of the Trump Organization really pay close attention and take action in what is going on in the Florida System. What the Gravitts continue to do not only affects the young ladies that compete in the Florida, it affects the reputation of the Miss Universe Organization as well. |

Actually, it's incorrect. The fact is that Nadine has no twin sister. She was born as the first child in her family. But, she has 2 younger brothers. Her younger brothers are the twin ones. Her younger twin brothers, namely, Marcel and Mischa Chandrawinata are also models and actors in Indonesia. The older, Marcel, has starred in two movies in Indonesia (Alexandria and Catatan Akhir Sekolah That's all a little correction from me. Lastly, I hope a great luck for Nadine there!!!!
