Did you try to put yourself in her place for 1 minute? Every breaths she takes now she is risking her life with those radicals extremists in her country. It's very difficult to be a woman in muslim countries excluding Egypt and Lebanon where you have no freedom. She has open a new way for iraqi women. Because of her now, many iraqi women will feel free to express their feelings and voice their opinions openly, "ONCE ONE POP, THEY WON'T STOP!", She has open the 'gateway' for others. Her participation in Miss Universe also dispells the negative prejudice concerning muslims showing that these people can also integrate in the international commitee now. Let's just hope that Pakistan and the 'mothership' Saudi Arabia joins us soon now... If Saudi joins, all others will join!

I know that the Miss Universe Pageant wont be on til a couple of months but as of now I feel that its really going to be tough this year because there are so many gorgeous beauties. The real predictions will start once we see them in the preliminaries. I studied all contestants very hard, and yes it was difficult to pick the 15 delegates to watch. But by saying that I think these 15 delegates are the early front runners for the competition. You agree?

1. Columbia-WOW! Look at this beauty! I know its early but im betting if she doesnt grab the MU Crown shes going to come very close to doing it.
2. Indonesia-One of those "rare" beauties you see in beauty pageants definitely IMO the one to beat this year!
3. Equador-Definitely the Dark Horse to winning the crown....Just by looking at the online pics of her something tells me this girl will go far!
4. Brazil-This Brazilian bombshell just put Brazil back on the map in this competition. This is the girl to do it! Finally Brazil something to cheer about!
5. Sri Lanka-Personally I think the contestants should keep a close eye out for this girl because she could very well snatch the crown this year.
6. Canada- Canada, Canada, could it be two years in a row? I think so. No doubt about it.
7. Bolivia- IMO I think she looks better than MU 2003 and got this instinct that she could overshine the other Latina beauties this year!
8. USA- Ok yes shes short but so what. You cant deny this girl has beauty. Personally I think one of the better looking Miss USA's we had in recent years.
9. Mexico-Definitely one of my early pics for the crown. But since she won the Mexico title weve been overwhelmed by many more latin beauties. I think she'll prevail.
10. Japan-Hopefully this Japan beauty doesnt go unforseen this year. Ive been surprised with Japan because they've been sending tough competition to the pageant. I think Kurara has it!
11. Israel-Very Stunning! Needs to outshine the overwhelming amount of Latina and Asian beauties this year to win.
12. Phillipines-I say shell crack the Top 10. I say she could be the Oriental spoiler to win this competition for obvious reasons...shes exotic!
13. South Africa-Yes shes beautiful and has the brains to go with it. But with the tremendous amount of beauties this year shes going to have to bring out her A game to stand a chance.
14. Venezuela-This girl has arguably the nicest body in the competition, but like we havent seen with recent Miss Venezuelas she needs to think quickly on her feetin order to have a chance.
15. Ethiopia- If anybody has a chance against the tremendous amount of beautiful women this year it is Ethiopia. I say she could compete with Indonesia, Mexico & Canada this year!

Le callara la boca a muchos... VENEZUELA , Es una morenaza altisima no es fea como dicen por hai. Se save que venezuela a tenido mujeres mas bellas pero la niña tiene su encanto y proyecata mucho... MEXICO , Una cara muy bella pero a la misma vez tiene cierto parecido con la actual miss universe, Solo hay que verla en vivo para ver si es barava y proyecta, pero para ella llegar lejos tiene que rovarse el show... This is an essay written by a Korean student i want to share with you. (Never mind the grammar; it's the CONTENT that counts) Maybe it is timely to think about this in the midst of all the confusion at present. MY SHORT ESSAY ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES Jaeyoun Kim Filipinos always complain about the corruption in the Philippines. Do you really think the corruption is the problem of the Philippines? I do not think so. I strongly believe that the problem is the lack of love for the Philippines. Let me first talk about my country, Korea. It might help you understand my point. After the Korean War, South Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world. Koreans had to start from scratch because entire country was destroyed after the Korean War, and we had no natural resources. Koreans used to talk about the Philippines, for Filipinos were very rich in Asia. We envy Filipinos. Koreans really wanted to be well off like Filipinos. Many Koreans died of famine. My father & brother also died because of famine. Korean government was very corrupt and is still very corrupt beyond your imagination, but Korea was able to develop dramatically because Koreans really did their best for the common good with their heart burning with patriotism. Koreans did not work just for themselves but also for their neighborhood and country. Education inspired young men with the spirit of patriotism. 40 years ago, President Park took over the government to reform Korea. He tried to borrow money from other countries, but it was not possible to get a loan and attract a foreign investment because the economic situation of South Korea was so bad. Korea had only three factories. So, President Park sent many mine workers and nurses to Germany so that they could send money to Korea to build a factory. They had to go through horrible experience. In 1964, President Park visited Germany to borrow money. Hundred of Koreans in Germany came to the airport to welcome him and cried there as they saw the President Park. They asked to him, "President, when can we be well off?" That was the only question everyone asked to him. President Park cried with them and promised them that Korea would be well off if everyone works hard for Korea, and the President of Germany got the strong impression on them and lent money to Korea. So, President Park was able to build many factories in Korea. He always asked Koreans to love their country from their heart. Many Korean scientists and engineers in the USA came back to Korea to help developing country because they wanted their country to be well off. Though they received very small salary, they did their best for Korea. They always hoped that their children would live in well off country. My parents always brought me to the places where poor and physically handicapped people live. They wanted me to understand their life and help them. I also worked for Catholic Church when I was in the army. The only thing I learned from Catholic Church was that we have to love our neighborhood. And, I have loved my neighborhood. Have you cried for the Philippines? I have cried for my country several times. I also cried for the Philippines because of so many poor people. I have been to the New Bilibid prison. What made me sad in the prison were the prisoners who do not have any love for their country. They go to mass and work for Church. They pray everyday. However, they do not love the Philippines. I talked to two prisoners at the maximum-security compound, and both of them said that they would leave the Philippines right after they are released from the prison. They said that they would start a new life in other countries and never come back to the Philippines. Many Koreans have a great love for Korea so that we were able to share our wealth with our neighborhood. The owners of factory and company were distributed their profit to their employees fairly so that employees could buy what they needed and saved money for the future and their children. When I was in Korea, I had a very strong faith and wanted to be a priest. However, when I came to the Philippines, I completely lost my faith. I was very confused when I saw many unbelievable situations in the Philippines. Street kids always make me sad, and I see them everyday. The Philippines is the only Catholic country in Asia, but there are too many poor people here. People go to church every Sunday to pray, but nothing has been changed. My parents came to the Philippines last week and saw this situation. They told me that Korea was much poorer than the present Philippines when they were young. They are so sorry that there are so many beggars and street kids. When we went to Pasangjan, I forced my parents to take a boat because it would fun. However, they were not happy after taking a boat. They said that they would not take the boat again because they were sympathized the boatmen, for the boatmen were very poor and had a small frame. Most of people just took a boat and enjoyed it. But, my parents did not enjoy it because of love for them. My mother who has been working for Catholic Church since I was very young told me that if we just go to mass without changing ourselves, we are not Catholic indeed. Faith should come with action. She added that I have to love Filipinos and do good things for them because all of us are same and have received a great love from God. I want Filipinos to love their neighborhood and country as much as they love God so that the Philippines will be well off. I am sure that love is the keyword, which Filipinos should remember. We cannot change the sinful structure at once. It should start from person. Love must start in everybody, in a s mall scale and have to grow. A lot of things happen if we open up to love. Let's put away our prejudices and look at our worries with our new eyes. I discover that every person is worthy to be loved. Trust in love, because it makes changes possible. Love changes you and me. It changes people,contexts and relationships. It changes the world. Please love your neighborhood and country. Jesus Christ said that whatever we do to others we do to Him. In the Philippines, there is God for people who are abused and abandoned. There is God who is crying for love. If you have a child, teach them how to love the Philippines. Teach them why they have to love their neighborhood and country. You already know that God also will be very happy if you love others. That's all I really want to ask you Filipinos.

Open letter to the Miss Universe Organization and Mr. Donald Trump,
For over fifty years the Miss Universe Organization has provide a global platform for women to express and better themselves on a global level. We feel it is overdue time for the Miss Universe Organization to expand the definition of beauty by increasing the age limit for competing contestants. Since when does the idea of ideal beauty end at age twenty six? The Miss Universe Organization is known for breaking barriers and its noticeable strides. That’s why it’s so hard to believe that such a notable organization haven’t taking the next logical step to expanded the age limit for contestants.
Since when does the idea of beauty stop at a specific age such as twenty six, if we apply this theory to everyday life, then such noticeable beauties like Cameron Diaz (age 34), Halle Berry (age 39), Selma Hayek (age 39) and Eva Longoria (age 30) would be considered old and over the hill. Its time for society to wake up and realize beauty doesn’t end at twenty five. Mr. Trump you are widely known for being a forward thinker and innovator and as an innovator it would seem to be rational that you would see the benefits of expanding the age limit for contestants.
We all realize that the Miss Universe Organization is a business and as such they are in the business to make money as well as fulfill the goals of the women who compete. But as a business is it not in the organizations best interests to expand the potential profit margin by expanding the range of potential contestants? We hope that this letter encourages you to serious consider the idea of increasing the age limit for the 2007 competition year.

She is the Goddess of Beauty of the 20th Century. She was crowed Miss India(World) 1994. Actually she is working as an actress in India. She oftens wins the Best Actress Awards almost every year in her country. She even managed to stepped into Hollywood USA and played as principal actress in the film 'Bride & Prejudice'. She is still as beautiful as from the first time she won. Currently she has 3 american film signed. SATISFIED: When she won Miss World 1994 DISATISFIED: When Sushmita Sen grabbed the crown from her as Miss India to go the Miss Universe. Although Sushmita Sen won Miss Universe, I don't care, it's Aishwarya who deserved the crown! There's no comparison in her beauty with anybody in this century. SHE IS THE VERY BEAUTIFUL, ONE AND ONLY, UNBEATABLE AND UNCOMPARABLE "AISHWARYA RAI" !!! 2.MISS VENEZUELA UNIVERSE 1997 (1st Runner Up of Miss Universe 1998) Veruska Ramirez <img src="http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5010/veruskaramirez2xl.jpg"> I don't know much on what she's doing in her country right now. The time she won she was studying to become a marine biologist. SATISFIED: When she won Miss Venezuela(Universe) 1997. DISATISFIED: When that ugly Miss Trinidad & Tobago crossed her way to grab the crown of Miss Universe 1998, there is really 0 comparison in beauty between Veruska & Wendy. Trinidad and Tobago gave a so long and drowsy answer. I was really so pissed off by the judges' choice. At least you could have said Miss Trinidad & Tobago answered well but NO!! The final question of Miss Universe 1998 was "A woman who has been awakened after 20 years, what do you tell her she missed?". Veruska gave a very swift, original & oblique answer: "I will tell her she missed all the marvellous experiences of what life is offering by being asleep so long and that she has to make all her dreams when she was sleeping.. come true now!" After all, her eastern zodiac sign is monkey and she is very smart & possesses sharp mental powers! 3.MISS VENEZUELA 1998 (WORLD) Veronica Schneider <img src="http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/4872/veronicaschneider9wr.png"> I have no idea what is Veronica doing in her country right now but she was studying computer engineer at that time. SATISFIED: When she could step in Miss World. DISATISFIED: 1. When Carolina Indriago grabbed the crown of Miss Venezuela Universe. There is no comparison in physical beauty. I have to admit Carolina Indriago is a good person with great heart and answered questions very concisely and smart in Miss Universe 1999 but still Veronica's beauty cannot be compared to Carolina. 2. I was really more pissed off when Veronica was not selected in the 10 Finalists of Miss World 1998. The judges were really blind!!! Israel to win the crown?? DUH! She didn't have anything extra. If there is a beautiful Miss Israel it's the current Miss Israel 2006. She possesses a very beautiful rare grass-green eyes color plus she has a rare unconventional beauty. Of all Miss, Miss Venezuela is my favourite almost every year even I'm not from Venezuela (Simply because Miss Venezuela is always beautiful all the time). I'm not a fanatic of any country and I view beauty pageants in a very unbiased way but this year.. Venezuela has really deceived me just like in 1998 when Carolina won. The current Miss Venezuela's body is too muscled. She looks androgynous. You can't understand whether she's like a male dressed in female(drag queen) or female but masculine(lesbian). Coming back to Veronica Schneider.. She was the most beautiful among all the candidates of Miss World 1998 and it would have been the same if she stepped into Miss Universe 1999. Miss India 1994 and Miss World 1994 is the real Miss World in the most 'REAL' sense! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD IS AISHWARYA RAI!!!

The women from Latin America in particular spend months of intesive training and their sponsors spare no expense on the best gowns, hair and make-up, even surgery. It's hard for a girl who is just given a few pointers on how to walk, etc. to compete. I hope that Mauritius will break the barrier soon and make the finals, along with Egypt, Croatia, Ukraine, Northen Marianas, St. Vincent/Gren. and other countries that have never made it. As for winning, you will have to get very lucky and have a spectacular woman who can win it on her own merits. Author: CONCERNED, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS [Edit]	Date Posted: 00:41:55 03/17/06 Fri A CONCRETE REASON why national and int'l/world beauty contests and queens are not generally patronized and appreciated by the whole world is the way or the process by which the queens are elected (specifically, the swimsuit competition portion where the candidates compete for the "Best in Swimsuit" award), or the wearing of SKIMPY two-piece bathing suits or bikinis in the press presentations and in some parts on the entire duration of the contests/pageants. It's true, we cannot please everybody, but how could nationally and internationally proclaimed, crowned and titled queens (who are the epitomes of womanhood of every nationality or country, who function as global role models and ambassadors of amity and goodwill to the world, who serve as global humanitarians, philanthropists and environmentalists, and who meet heads of states/countries, local and foreign dignitaries, etc.) earn the respect or be taken seriously by the world if they are always seen in newspapers and magazines and on national or global TV's scantily clad in skimpy bikinis covering only their genitals, ass/holes and nipples/breasts, as if vainly parading and flaunting their "assets" or voluptuous bodies or sexiness (that can arouse sexual desires or interests to "horny" or sex-maniac men spectators)? Is baring or showing much of skin (almost nude) an important and sensible CRITERION or requisite for a lady candidate to become a proclaimed, crowned and titled queen? This aspect (wearing of skimpy bikinis) of today's beauty pageants (nat'l and int'l) ONLY DEGRADES the image of pageants/contestants (women); hence, so many people (especially the big global Muslim world, the feminists, the moralists, the intellectuals, etc.) accuse and look down on beauty contests as mere exploitations of women for they seem to appear as mere sex objects! This is the image or the general perception that are impressed upon peoples' minds around the globe because of wearing of skimpy bikinis by the candidates/delegates. Critics have good reasons and they are reasonable enough. We must listen to and consider their comments and opinions. A beauty contest is different from and definitely NOT a bikini open contest and NOT a sexy body contest. We are not conservative and old-fashioned, and yes, we understand that the BEAUTY and SYMMETRY of a woman's body can be shown and revealed only by wearing of swimsuit (to determine who has the best figure) but we must maintain and show SENSE OF DECENCY AND MODESTY. And to earn the most respect and approval of the world, beauty contests should prefer using the 1-piece swimsuit which is the most appropriate one for beauty contests because it covers the woman's torso. Bikinis are for bikini open or sexy body contests. 1-piece swimsuits are for beauty contests. Nowadays, there are MODERNIZED and STYLISH colors, designs and cuts (that are NOT skimpy/scanty) of 1-piece swimsuits that we can choose from.[/b] If the sponsors, manufacturing companies and advertisers of bikinis want to promote the sales of their bikinis, they should do it thru print ads or TV commercials but NOT in beauty contests. THERE MUST BE A CLEAR DISTINCTION. National and int'l beauty queens' image MUST BE DIFFERENT from bikini or sexy body contest winners, bold actresses and porn stars, pin-up porn models, men's (adult) magazines sexy models, night clubs' hot bold models, gyrating and seducing go-go dancers and the likes WHO ALL WEAR BIKINIS ON THEIR STAGE SHOWS! National and int'l beauty contests are stage shows too! WEARING 1-PIECE SWIMSUITS ONLY (NO BIKINIS) WOULD SURELY MAKE A DIFFERENT IMAGE THAT IS DECENT AND RESPECTABLE, AND PAGEANTS-STAGE SHOWS THAT ARE PRESENTABLE AND ACCEPTABLE TO ALL AUDIENCE--YOUNG AND OLD (MINORS & ADULTS), CHRISTIANS OR NOT. Beaty pageants are stage/TV shows and public presentations that ought to be wholesome and should NOT appear to be seemingly seductive or sexual that only cause nasty image for the queens and nasty thoughts and remarks from the public. Many say that it's now year 2006 and we are now in the 21st century. But no matter what year or century it is, REGARDLESS OF TIME, wether it is 19th or 23rd century, year 2050 or 3000, etc., GETTING NUDE or SEMINUDE (by wearing of VERY SKIMPY 2-piece or bikinis) in public view would always be GENERALLY AND GLOBALLY perceived as INDECENT and IMPROPER. Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Globe, Miss Maja Mundial, Miss Asia-Pacific, Miss Tourism Int'l Contests and Pageants should always prefer wearing the MODERNIZED and STYLISH 1-piece swimsuits, NOT the very scanty and skimpy bikinis in the press presentations, swimsuit contest portions, etc. of the candidates/delegates) TO UPLIFT THE IMAGE OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL (WORLD/GLOBAL) BEAUTY CONTESTS AND BEAUTY QUEENS.
