【大公網訊】比別人矮半頭的滋味固然不好受，但是一想到那些既昂貴又遭罪的增高方法，身材矮小者也只好認命。然而，日本京都大學研究生院醫學研究專業的中尾一和教授發現，大腦和血管壁中存在的一種蛋白質“ＣＮＰ”與軟骨發育不全有關，該研究為侏儒症患者和想增高的人帶來希望。

據新華社東京１２月１５日電，軟骨發育不全是侏儒症的主要原因之一。據時事社１５日報道，中尾教授領導的研究小組利用基因技術培育出缺少ＣＮＰ蛋白質的老鼠，經過一段時間後，老鼠出現了軟骨發育不全的症狀。隨後，研究人員又給患軟骨發育不全的老鼠注入ＣＮＰ蛋白質，結果老鼠侏儒症症狀有所改善。此外，研究人員給正常老鼠注入ＣＮＰ蛋白質後發現，該蛋白質有長個兒的作用。研究人員由此推斷，如果給青春發育期的正常人注入ＣＮＰ蛋白質也可能令這些人長個兒。

中尾教授說，這種方法可使侏儒身高增加約２０到３０厘米。截至目前，軟骨發育不全無特殊治療方法，通過手術治療患者既受罪，且效果也不太理想。如利用這一成果開發出新藥，患者在治療過程中將沒有任何痛苦。不過，這種蛋白質的增高作用僅在動物實驗中獲得初步驗証，距實際應用還有較大距離。

侏儒症發病率約為萬分之一，日本約有１萬名侏儒症患者。一般男性侏儒症患者身高約為１３２厘米，女性患者約為１２３厘米。
