Subject: performance on 650c vs 700c wheels

I was wondering if anybody has experienced any difference in their performance racing time trials on a 650c wheel TT bike, and doing most of your training on a 700c regular road bike. I don't remember that happening in previous years, but due to the lack of TT races in the Washington D.C area, obviously training on my TT bike has been very minimal. I still turned a pretty decent time for my first 40k race of the year (56.26), but the week after, I got on my road bike and my legs just did not seem to want to move, I thought it was due to the hard effort from the race, but two weeks later I just don't feel the same on my road bike.
Any suggestions?
