A dum dum dum echos down from one of the cold dark halls. Why waste candles and energy when the few people the live there don't need it? Soon the sound starts to take a pattern as it grews louder followed closely by foot steps. What could it be. The pattern continues forming into the death march. A shadow emerges from the darkness of the hall becoming the King as he steps into the light. Holding a worn old book before him, reading it as he walks. Turning around the staircase banner he starts his climb to the dorms unaware of the beauty in the shadows.
