for thos of you who dont know jeff suffering he only wants to help out small town diy clubs not run them there is no franchise or anything like that involved as for us paying money to use the name thats the most b.s ive ever heard. im the only one whos ever talked to jeff about it so i cant help but find it humorous that someone else who dosent really know what we've talked about is the one "running the idea" by chuck and sue. as for the paradox its just an idea so calm down thin kof it this way the paradox theatre was one of the most successful all ages clubs in seattle history housing bands like "the blood brothers, from autmn to ashes, the hope conspiracy, throwdown, zao, the locust, roadside monument, and soo many more hes also helped out my band and my friends bands several times by giving us shows if youdont want a name like that attatched to our scene thats noones but our loss imagine what kind of conections we'd build and since none of you have ever met jeff suffering then you have no right what so ever to judge his motives and personally im very upset about it. as for the person who only wants local bands to play no offense but you're way off every town with a decent scene has its local bands as openers thats the way it works prices will hardly change the most expensive show i put on cost $6 so lets be bit realisti here, ive learned and been told by soo many kids that they're tired of seeing the same bands every week , i would be to now im not anti-local bands i look at it this way if we bring in a big hardcore band, and someone like insecure or blue mouse plays with them then that band is exposed emmencelly beings that band could tell their label to check that band out or they could very well opt to take them on tour and it does happen to , but i say fine if you dont want it to be called the paradox thats fine fyi theres already a club called the brikyard, and the zone so if we wanna play the "lets not call it that cause someone else has a club by that name" then we better start thinking harder. and if anyone wants to know the true situation with the paradox , our club would not br run by the paradox at all the paradox is a production company involved with the artist reformation project visit the paradox.org for more info on what they're about the idea is to start a tour circut so smaller bands like our vey own yakima bands can tour without having to send 100s of presskits to venues which is very stressful the idea is to get these bands a good ammount of exposure so they can go places maybe even make it big, by calling it the paradox we will draw an amazing reputation and good bands as well as sending our own bands out on the road if we call it somthing else on the shows that me and dave book the flyer read
paradox productions present ... and it will list the venue name as will however by affiliating ourselves with this diy company it allows us to book more shows anyone extol? the death campaign? as i lay dying? he agony scene? believe it or not it is jeff suffering who set us up with those shows care of paradox productions personally i dont care what its called i dont like the name the brick-yard but its not the name of the venue i care about its the venue and the bands ans kids who go to shows im just sick of having to get on here and correct mis-information but remember i love you all very much josh
