Some ideas on Conversion...

Some of you may have considered this, but for those who haven't maybe this will be helpful... remember you will not be able to gamble for Uniques or Sets once your character is converted.

"Any of your existing Open or Realm Diablo II characters can be converted for play with the expansion. Characters can
be converted by a simple option included with the expansion. Converted characters will retain all of their items,
experience, and attributes. However, character conversion is a one-way process, which means that you can't convert
expansion characters back into regular Diablo II characters."

Unless you plan to play your expansion characters "pure", why not load up a mule with a few goodies to convert. Though once you have converted your character or mule there is no going back this may be helpful. Packing up a few good Uniques could prove valuable to a newly created expansion characters and do remember that there will be level restrictions on those Unique items as well. You will have to be lvl 30 to wear a SOJ, lvl 15 to wear Eye of Etlich and lvl 15 to wear Treads of Cthon, these Uniques will indeed be rare and you cannot gamble for them.

At this time I don't think this idea would be any different than passing good items down to other characters you may already have, you are just taking a few with ya to the expansion.

Maybe it is a good idea to start loading up on Uniques and any Set items you may find useful for the expansion.

Just some thoughts, I do know Blizzard is aware of this perhaps in the final release this may not be allowed at all who knows? What you all think?
