I have 2 of these cars which I just finished near the end of the season and now have 3 races on them. I have a 7 and 9 year old and I am not ready to put $5,000 in a car (which is what I have in my 600) to start out. You can call it a go cart but that is not at all true. They are allowed to run with the KT 100 cars at the tulsa shootout(wouldn't be real competitive). I have witnessed some go cart racing and I would NEVER put my kids in one just for the safety issue. I saw a kids head almost removed at tulsa last year on a go cart, plus the other 20 that were close calls. There are many drivers of 600's around these parts that started thier racing in these cars. So it depends if you have a 5-12 year old that wants to have fun racing or a 8-12 year old that you are pushing to maybe someday drive a 410. If a person wanted to race a kidwell from around here they would have to drive to missouri(6.5 hrs) or oklahoma(7 hrs) so there goes 2 days of work to race. In my opinion and obviously all 8 kids that raced this year it is a great class to start in. My kids have never been as excited as they were the first time they ran around the track in their cars. I am still hearing about my daughters first win 2 months after the end of the season. I hope I don't come off too rude but to me your comments are putting our cars down when we are here to have fun not MAKE our kids into superstars at age 7. Chad Boone
