Subject: Season Predictions???

I know it is still early, but I am just so eager to talk about the Knights!! What are some people's predicitions for the upcoming season. I know it is difficult to predict a team's success without having seem them play or practice (like myself), but I am just curious to see what people's initial predictions are? The first two games of the schedule this year are much different that year's past. Don't know if anyone cares, but here are my thoughts:

Henderson Co. - On the road against a large school. I don't think the outcome looks to good for the Knights. This might be ugly for the Knights as the first game of the season. (L)

Richmond - Not quite the same as Boonville every year. Will bring many fine athletes. Not sure the last time CHS played them...was it in '82 or have we played the since then? I believe they finished 8 - 3 last year with a good running back with many yards, not sure if he graduated or will be back this season. Just glad they have to make the 4+ hour trip all the way to Paradise (W)

Bosse - What can you say about Bosse? One of the most athletically talented teams in the city. However, they usually end up with an average record. (W)

Central - I have heard some early talk on how Central will be better than most expect. I hear that they will have many young kids playing. This would make Central a force to be recogned with in the SIAC in the coming years. If this is the case, too young this year for the Knights. (W)

North - Like Bosse, one of the most athletically gifted schools in the city. North is always spoke about as the team to watch out for. Also like every year they seem to find a way to fall apart towards the end of the season. However, I think they might give Castle trouble this season. (L)

Reitz - 2 and 0 during the last two regular seasons, 0 and 2 during the last two sectionals. Maybe the tables can turn this year as I see the Knights having difficulites with the Panthers. If they face the Panthers in the sectional (which seems like it happens every year) maybe they can pick up the win as I see the Knights peaking during sectional time. However, this is not the Knights turn during the regular season. (L)

Harrison - I believe this team might give the Knights a game unlike past years. They have a good QB (which I believe is one of the CHS coaches sons) and always have good athletes. However, I believe Castle will have enough for the win (W)

Mater Dei - With Castle starting to pass more (at least from what I hear), I think the Knights will be better prepared than ever to handle MD's passing attack. I think this might be one of the better games of the season. (W)

Memorial - Not too sure about Memorial other than that they are starting to pass more like MD. Like I said before, I believe that the Knights will be able to cover the pass better than ever this season if in fact Memorial is running the more wide-opened offense. (W)

Regular Season Record ---->>>> 6-3

Sectionals -- What can you say about Sectionals???.. Nothing until they are drawn. As I stated earlier, I believe (and hope) the Knights will be peaking during Sectional time. They will have 9 games under their belt using a system that will take time to learn and refine. What are everyone else's inital predictions for the 2003 season???

Best of Luck Knights.....

BTW....Does anyone know what happened to the Gridiron digest? I looks like ole Tim may have forgot to pay is web-hosting bill.
