I don't believe I'm a moron. Also, I didn't bash any players. In fact, if anything, I praised the defense by the low scoring totals I gave the other teams. I just referred to Lackey because of the numbers he put up last season. Nobody else on the team has any returning experience or statistics. What am I supposed to say: "Oh man, our wide receivers are sweet and they all run 4.5 in the forty and our lineman are all pass blocking specialists even though only a couple of us have ever seen a live pass rush."

I know games aren't won based on players attributes, but if someone who really knows what they're talking about could inform the rest of us "morons," please list the starting offense and defense as well as listed height, weight, forty time, bench press, squat, power clean, number of games started and number of varsity games played. I know that's a lengthy list, but soontobe seems to be so informed about how great the team is going to be, he should know.

Bottom line: How does this Castle team stack up with teams from the past in the things I listed above?

And don't come back and say anything about heart and determination and the FIST and how Coach Cov has us playing like a family.

I would love nothing more than to see the Knights run roughshod over the competition this season. I just don't think it's all going to be clicking early in the season and I feel like the city is going to be better than the last few years. I would love for someone other than a highly biased person like soontobe to give an actual impartial outlook on the season. Just because I said Castle may only win 4 games doesn't mean I hold some kind of grudge. Every team goes through bad spells. Hell, the year after the second championship Castle was #1 in the state and that lasted all of a week. Everybody knew that team wasn't repeating or even going to come close to matching the year before. There was no experience. The same thing happened in 1997. The same thing happened in 91 and 92 following two solid years in 89-90. The same sort of downfall happened in 85-86 following solid years. Only recently has there not been dropoffs from year to year and that's mainly due to the city being absolutely horrible. The only teams worth a crap the last four years have been Reitz and Mater Dei and what's our combined record against them? My point is this: The city is supposedly improved this year while Castle has several question marks. It's only natural that a dropoff may occur. If this year's young guys get a good test of varsity football and the system sticks, then they'll be that much better next year. Eventually, it happens to everybody. Look at Nebraska last year.

Therefore "soontobe," instead of name calling and getting all fired up, why don't you list in detail why the Knights are bound for another undefeated season? Prove your not a moron.
