Yes, I agree. Those things sometimes frustrate me the most. It would have taken no more screen time to make the "avoiding responsibility" point than to do the addiction thing. I think season 6 has a slightly schizophrenic quality. Some of my favorite material is in season 6, and yet there are other major portions of it that, while I generally get the idea, I feel could have been executed more effectively.
