I've seen several comments elsewhere that Moonlight is more like an anemic version of Forever Knight than like Angel. I've only seen season 1 of FK, so can't comment definitively. I watched 2 episodes of Moonlight, and it didn't do much for me. The stakes (sorry!) don't seem high enough, and it doesn't help that I've never liked Jason Dohring much as an actor (here doing a Spike-like turn). So it's mostly a shrug for me.
