"Of course people are going to disagree with each other's interpretations. Go on and write an essay in which you demonstrate how and where Wilcox's interpretations of Riley and/or Ron Weasley are mistaken or incomplete, but also show that you've understood the context of the original essays and don't attack her personally."

I don't see why I should refrain from doing so, because Wilcox happens to be a friend of yours. What she had written in her book had produced an emotional response within me and I responded in kind. Now, you can lecture to me about keeping my emotions in check - especially when it comes to fiction. But chances are I will ignore such lectures, since I dislike people dictating how I should respond to anything. Are we clear?
