Subject: Is anyone else disturbed by this ? (Spoilers for 8.29)

When Harmony outed the Slayers, I was concerned. When the Slayers "gave up" their powers,I was worried. Now I'm just pissed off.

The Slayers were created to kill monsters in order to protect people. Buffy's favorite title was "class protector". Both Buffy and Faith were willing to face prison to atone for harming humans. Saving people was the whole point of their calling.

That was then, this is now. Slayers now kill humans, in order to protect themselves. They may (probably will) get their powers back, but it looks like they've lost their mission - in which case, why should we care about these people at all ?
