Subject: 3 Very Important Questions About Vampires

Okay, I have been wondering this for a very long time, and since I am starting my own fan-fic, I need to know the following things:

1. Can a vampire live without blood? Is it a want or a need for them? There could possibly be a VERY SURPRISING twist to my season finale if there is any way they can live without drinking blood. (Not even pig's blood).
2. Can one be "un-sired". This is very doubtful but if there is a possibility, it would make for another awesome twist.
3. I understand that women vampires cannot have human children (with the fleeting exception of Darla), but can the men vampires father human babies, or vampire newborns for that matter? And can humans mother vampire babies? I understand that Angel never can because of his situation but is the not-fathering thing just for him? But say, if Buffy and Spike were to have a kid, would that be possible? And how would the child turn out - human or vamp?

I would just like to get these questions cleared up. Thanks.
