Wait a minute! I actually remember that hand scene, too.
Now that someone mentioned Spike, I remember thinking that Spike somehow survived and reached out of the rubble. I also remember trying to show it to one of my friends , but I could never find it on the DVD. I was really frustrated about that.
But it just came to my mind that, when I watched the finaly episode for the first time, it wasn't a DVD, nor was it on TV. I live in germany, so we are always way behind on the series. At that time, I downloaded the episode from the internet....so I probably got the same one you taped. But when I tried to show it to my friend I already had the DVDs.
