Only it's not an actual corkscrew. It's a spirally piece of jewelry that Giles returns to Jenny after finding it in the library. So if her ear isn't where she dangles it from, that implies she dangles it from...some other, unspecified, part of her body, & that she has a piercing somewhere less traditional than the earlobe.

So 1st, definitely not the bedpost! As for the inner ear, I think you're thinking of the cochlea, which is shaped more like a snail shell than a corkscrew. The scene is from I Robot, You Jane & has a lot to do w/Giles & Jenny's books vs. computers debate. Not sure if that helps w/the symbolism, but this line definitely is flirty!
