I don't believe that Spike would have told Buffy what Cecily had said to him. To me the flashbacks were actually citing what happened as Spike actually remembered it rather than what he was telling Buffy.

When he went after Buffy with the gun, it wasn't so much about getting his own back for Buffy's 'cruelty' but more to do with proving to himself that he still has it in him to be the 'Slayer slayer', to fight against what he was when he was human. This is what makes Spike's journey so unique, even without a soul he can at least admit being in touch with what he once was (unlike Angelus).

Buffy's words were not about her cruelty, they were about the feelings these words brought out in Spike.

Also the whole 'beneath me' thing is consistent to what Buffy was talking about with the vamp in 'Conversations With Dead People'. With the stress caused by the situation with her mother and her injury was actually being honest. She was saying 'as if'
