Yeah and whats up with this. There was the episode that Xander was stabbed by Ashanti (I think) as he was hanging over the Hellmouth portal. A fight insude and Spike got beat up a little bit and Xander was bleeding (theoretically profusely) and she never even barely glanced his way as she asked fawned all over Spike (the Killer and Rapist with a soul). Someone said "He's going to be ok." or something but ...wow... am I remembering this wrong or what. This is not - no way - no how, simply but, the same character at all as seasons 1-6. It doesn't even fit into the arc as I see it. Buffy was always afraid of being seperated with people. This really is one of the greater seperations of character throughout the Buffyverse.
