How can you not at least try to form an opinion, if you succeed how can you then not act and that, whatever the outcome, was the decision that you made. Self-determination rocks.

This struck me. Most people have opinions but never ever act on them. They spout all sorts of informed and ill-informed and uninformed opinions, never to act upon them. Arm chair…. pick one. Having an opinion is a distinctly different thing than acting upon them. It took Angel decades to be able to act on what he thought, what he internally opined, brooded about. It is indeed the decision you make, but acting on that opinion is so different. Another decision. Self determination rocks, but sometimes taking that step, despite a strong opinion is something one is unable to do. You can be self-determined never to get off the couch, no matter how strong your opinion.

So in that I too can forgive Wesley a little, because he chooses to act. He is just so wrong much of the time. These are all separate but connected issues. One doesn’t necessarily beget the other.
