. The kick did indeed hit, although he did regain his balance back quickly. A small cut had now appeared upon the upper part of his left foreleg, but he paid no heed; a little blood never hurt anyone. He continued his attack, charging towards the younger one, ivories bared, aiming for the colt's withers. Just hit one certain spot upon his neck, and he would be all set. He knew the extremely weak spot of the bone, which lay where the head met the neck, but that was something he dared not do. He had seen that tactic used by predators, and no way would he lower himself to a carnivore's method. And anyway, his drive for blood wasn't that high, not yet. He was merely teaching a lesson, but as more blood was drawn from the colt, the more he became a beast, and the more he became a beast, the more he cared not for his morals, only for the kill, only for victory. As he went to latch onto the colt's withers, he half-reared, so that he did not go high enough so to expose his soft underside. Front hooves dug into the colt's shoulder, and his bite would soon land as well. The colt needed to pick; keep his shoulder, or keep his neck .
