. His stride lengthened slightly, his speed increasing. His gallop was very easy-going; smooth, with a nice rocking motion, easy to sit to, which was unusual for a gallop. This pace was continued along the dunes, but as he reached a flat area, his speed was increased. The wind was his opponent, and he was in a mock race with it. Pace quickened yet again, hindquarters using thier magnificent power to increase his speed. Forelegs reached for more ground, his stride long, yet easy. They came up upon the oasis, and he slowed to a canter, then trot, and came to a halt beside the cool water. Dial was lowered to the cool liquid, allowing the beast to drink. Satisfying his thirst, he headed into the water, not caring if Jamie was still on his back or not .
