Tall he was, yes, but she still had a few inches on him. Tossing finely chiseled dial, she headed back to her grazing area beneath one of the few trees in Nicosia. This pasture belonged to herself and Orive for a reason; they were champions, and not to mention greys, so sunlight could easily burn them, and sunburn was not good. Her companion, however, stood on the other side of the large field, under his own tree. Although herself and Orive held no relation, there were as close as siblings, and although she was a mare and he a stallion, he never bred to her, and merely acted as a protector to her. Sure, they had had a foal in previous times, but only to please their owner. Gaze once again followed the dark one, him now being a distant creature. Newcomers, hmm, what would this one bring? .
