Another man helps him to pull down the trailer ramp to reveal a mare and foal. The mare kicks out at the partition seperating them squealing and trying to nip at it. The man walks up, backing her down the ramp and tieing her to the side of the trailer. then both men walks up, where a small chesrtnut filly stands, confused and frightened by calming down once she see's these humans. In her side of the trailer are two small wooden gates at each end, no halter or lead on this filly as the man puts a cloth around her neck as he pushes her down, obveously the young foal is not halter trained. He holds her a distance from the fired up mare, who pulls back on the lead rope, squeal and trying to rear as the other man walks over, untieing her and walking around, as she ludges towards the foal, who becomes more and more frightened by this.
*These two believe it or not are mare and foal, but Locket her rejected this sweet little thing and wants nothing more that to hurt her for some reason* he says, stroking the youngs filly's neck. *Ribbons here has been being bottle feed but me and my son just can't cope with the long hours and are having to sell both* he says.
Locket over there is a pure bred arabian* he says as her dark bay coat shines in the sun. *She is only 5 and has a lot of energy, she is a brillant eventer but has proven not to be a good brood mare, which is a shame, she stands at 15hh and has the sweetest temper of all, when she isn't all fired up* he says.
*This little thing here is Ribbons, she is very tame now and love human company, she doesn't know many other horse except her mother and has had a bad start with her. She is only 10 days old and sould make about 15hh* he says as the bright eyed chestnut filly looks around, intriged by her new surroundings. *she hasn't had any training and isn't halter broken yet, she is feed on bottled milk every 4 hours at the moment so it will be a tough job taking on her, but she'll make it worth it, trust me* he says as the filly nickers out quietly.
Locket is £500 and Ribbons here is free, but they mustn't go to the same home.
