Conversation had died down til there was absolute peace about the dinner table, a fact that seemed oddly unsettling to the usually reserved male. As if seeking solace in her company, the unipeg in men's clothing took his mate's hands. His blunt fingers encircled her own in a firm yet affectionate grasp. Now was not the time to get lovey-dovey, this much he knew. But hey, girls had to feel special, did they not?
