Chestnut paint mare watches from her stall as he passes.A faint nicker is given,her ears sagging low,perk a bit,then droop again.She snorts and looks back to her flank,nipping lightly,eyig the blood that trickled i a heavy stream down her hinds.

She looks to him and whinnies,then looks to Cry,her chestnut paint filly,then Survivor,her gray and white pain filly.She nickes again,hoping to get his attention.
