] Date Posted: 20:33:27 01/27/04 Tue I absolutely detest nicotine Fascists. I want to smoke in public places, parks, streets, countryside etc, but I would NEVER force my habit on others. I am happy to leave the room or even building to avoid such confrontation or infringe anyones rights. If only everyone else were so understanding or, dare I say it, DEMOCRATIC! It seems to me that the rights of smokers, (and lets face it, smoking is still a legal activity) are being undermined left and right. Non smokers are the ones showing extreme intolerance and in my book that makes them wrong! Excuse my vehemence in this regard but I feel that until there is tolerance and understanding on both sides then I will fight and argue until I'm blue in the face (I'm an asthmatic smoker so I may turn blue any time, but bring it on anyway!) Date Posted: 20:16:29 02/01/04 Sun As a recently reformed-smoker I have to say that while I was a smoker I experienced much of what you mentioned. I am happy to say that I am not one of those reformed-smokers who banishes friends who choose to continue smoking to the elements whenever they want to light up. I do like them to sit by an open window and without exception I have found them all to be happy to comply. Having said that, in my experience as a smoker, reformed-smokers were always far worse and less tolerant than those who never smoked in the first place. What do you think? |

Date Posted: 23:05:19 03/23/08 Sun There's nothing wrong with reformed smokers. No one should smoke, it's a bad idea and it will kill you. Stop now, whilst you can. Reformed Smoker http://www.reformedsmoker.com |
