How many times must I throw my toys out of my pram before they stop calling Chimps, Gorillas and Orangutans "MONKEYS" on TV and in the press??
It's not a difficult concept to grasp!
Apes are not Monkeys, Monkeys are not Apes...
You wouldn't call a Dog a Cat, or a Mouse a Rabbit...
So why in Hell's name do they persist in calling a Chimp a frigging Monkey?

I think ppl are just more familiar w/ the TERM "monkey", and generally deem any creature w/ fur, big ears, a promininet upper lip and small nose a "monkey" or "ape". Many species of monkey have faces more like weasels or cats. Baboons, which are the largest monkeys, are often misidentified as "apes" due to their size.
