Smiling warmly at Tempest, they all take their ease in comfortable, paddled chairs, decorated with dragons and inlaid with firestones where the eyes appear.
Two servants appear as if summonde and start pouring spiced wine in silver cups, those as if a dragonclaw holding half of a hollow crystal ball, after which they retire in the corner of the room.
"I've been quite busy," Seraphin begins after a sip at the excellent wine, "at enhancing your castle. I know I should have asked permission fisrt, but then the surprise would have been spoiled. Let me explain now."
Seraphin takes a deep breath.
"Your castle has been transformed into a Holy place. The castle's very walls, floors and ceilings, columns and chimneys, especially your throne, I have embued them with Holy Power. It might be looked at as if at a great reservoir of Holy Power. It's self-sustaining - that is why it took so long, but the size of the castle certainly added to it - and slowly but steadily auto-building."
After another sip Seraphin continues : "Minor effects are that whoever - not opposite to Holy Power of course - will be regenerated, will also be favoured by the Holy Light while fighting in this place, or in the immediate surroundings of the castle - for you might have noticed that the Light spreads for a few ten miles to the outside, but there the effects diminish rapidly. The throne is the apex of my little gift, except for the Central Room then. All this will work on any of your allies as well, and, need I really tell you what will happen if one of your enemies happen to stroll nearby?"
For the first time, Seraphin's smile has a predatory cast to it, but it's gone so quickly Tempest isn't sure it was ever there.
"Oh, before I forget, depending on the amount of time you stay here and the relative closeness to the throne or the Central Room, you will 'carry' part of the Holy Power you absorbed with you when you leave the castle, but it will dissipate eventually after some time."
Seraphin then takes on a serious look. And in serious tones warns Tempest : "I would strongly advise against anyone entering the Central Room. It could have... unalterable consequences." His smile returns then : "Don't hesitate to rest on your throne, though, but don't take it as a good excuse to sit down and do nothing!"
Seraphin crystalline luagh fills the room and both listeners feel joyed by it while it lasts. He winks at Tempest and takes another sip of spiced wine.
