TL1000S frame issues -- joe j (frustrated), 16:23:27 09/30/09 Wed
I have a 1997 TL1000S and I have only had this bike on the road for 3k miles (about 2 months) in that time I have gone through 2 frames due to various cracks, and the shock damper bolt has vibrated out twice in each frame. Please note I was not doing anything like wheelies, or hoeshots or anything else. is there a way to weld the frame and damper bolt? Or is there a way get a 'new' frame.

- 2001 TL1000s burns a lot of gas -- FREEDOM (Happy), 18:21:02 07/17/09 Fri
I recently purchased my 01 TL100s. The bike is in great shape. It has a power commander mapped for fuel economy and it has a new K&N filter. I can go about 60 or so miles and the gas light comes on. What is going on? The bike is bad on fuel. Is something wrong with the bike? Or is this typical?

Gas Leak -- Mike, 23:03:55 11/28/04 Sun
Hello I have a 2000 TLR with 34,000 miles. The gasket where the fuel pump goes into the gas tank was leaking so I purchased a new one and installed it using the correct tightning order and the proper foot pounds of torque. The leak stopped for about five weeks. The new gasket is now leaking worse than the original gasket was. Has anyone had the same problem, and can I remove the gasket and put permatex around the connection and place the gasket back on? Thanks in advance.

Nearly 4 yrs since my TL1000R went and still miss it ;)
Over 20 bikes since ! Started racing this year on a 250 and took 3rd in my championship, next year I return to Suzuki altho it's a GSXR750 in our 750/twins class. There is the odd TLR in the class but these days the 750's seem to take all !
Glad to see this place is still here, anyone who remembers me hello to you all :)

- Cracked Frame 97 TLS -- Roger, 17:51:49 11/20/04 Sat
I am the second owner of a 97 TLS, which I am trying to sell. A knowledgeable potential buyer looked at my bike yesterday and showed me that the frame was cracked right behind the radiator mount on the left side. He said this was a problem with the 97 TLS. He said Suzuki knew about this problem and replaced any cracked frames. My bike was apparently checked at one time because there was an OK sticker on the frame.
When I called the local dealer they did not know anything about cracked frames and did not see any info on this problem. Does anyone know anything about frames cracking? Will Suzuki replace my frame? If Suzuki does not replace the frame, can I get the crack welded? Has anyone had this problem? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I want to change the look of my '99 Tiller headlights.
I came across these amazing looking Projector lights that fit right into the stock nose fairing.
There's 4 round lights....they sort of look like the Buel firebolt lights.
I found the pic on Bikepics.com.
Here's the link - http://bikepics.com/pictures/119767/
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET MY HANDS ON THIS......OR HOW I CAN GO ABOUT IT MYSELF ?

OUT TO PROFIT? OR NOT? PARTING OUT FOR CAUSE? OR TO PROFIT? -- FRANK, 18:45:20 11/10/04 Wed
IT MAKES ME SICK. IF YOU HAVE AN UNFORTUNATE WRECK AND NEED TO PART YOUR BIKE OUT TO RECOVER, THEN THATS OK. BUT PARTING OUT FOR PROFIT? HELL, WE COULD ALL DO IT. BUY A WRECKED BIKE, FIND A WEB SITE, AND SELL THE PARTS AT A RIDUCULAS PRICE. SPECIFIC MODEL OWNERS SHOULD STICK TOGETHER. IF WE ALL BOUGHT BIKES TO (PART) SELL THEN THIS GROUP WOULD BE A "FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION". I FEEL THAT A CLOSE KNIT GROUP SHOULD STICK TOGETHER. FOR EXAMPLE, I SAW A IAP SENSOR FOR SALE FOR APPROX. $100, WHEN I HAVE IT AVAILABLE FOR ONLY $40 PLUS SHIPPING (ALAWYS WILLING TO NEGOTIATE)! MY GOAL IS NOT TO PROFIT, BUT RECOVER. HOW CAN I COMPETE? TL OWNERS NEEDING PARTS, RESOND. YES, I CAN SELL MY BIKE TO A SALVAGE YARD, BUT THIS YARD WILL SREW YOU ALSO. SO, TO GET TO THE POINT, IF YOU NEED EXCELLENT PARTS AT AN EXCELLENT COST, REPLY AT FCASEY1614@MSN.COM. I'M NOT HERE TO PROFIT, JUST WANT TO HELP FELLOW TL OWNERS AROUND THE GLOBE AS WELL AS GET ENOGH MONEY FOR A DOWN PAYMENT ON ANOTHER ROCKET WHEELIE MACHINE.
THANKS ALL, FOR YOUR TIME, AND LETTING MY FRUSTRATIONS OUT!
FRANK

And i checked my tps today The indicator stays in the middle at idle but doesnt move up until around 2800 rpms, im assuming this means i have to adjust it whereas i think it should move up at 1400 rpms.
