Shaloon's eyes narrow, laying hard on her sister. The images stream through her mind�the entire pack - pups, elders, old friends, family - all dead. Somewhere inside, she feels a fraction of the gut-wrenching feeling she had when her own children died, but not a flicker of emotion crosses her face.

"You're right, Caldreen," Shaloon says slowly, "I don't care. I only wish that I could have been there to do it myself."

Caldreen's face turns to a look of betrayal and disgust in her sister. Maybe the others had been right when they had banished her. Maybe Caldreen had been the fool for still loving her. Maybe her little sister was no more than a heartless killer... �No� Caldreen thinks to herself �She can't be.�

"I'm sorry for that, Shal, I really am."

Caldreen holds her sister's gaze steadily with a look of disapointment then reverts to her wolf-form and trots out of the Shadowlands.

Shaloon only watches her sister leave, motionless.
