Subject: A Letter From The Commanding General (Memorandum For Record)

All Hail The Army.

I want to first take the time to thank each one of you for being a part of the ARMY OF THE BLACK ROSE (AOTBR). I am proud of each one of you, whether you sit on the Joint chiefs, or an officer, or a regular member. Thank you for your support of each other and the Army. I am thankful each day when I log on and see soldiers helping each other, and becoming better players in the process.

If you are not a member, please take time to read this document. If you are interested in joining, please look on the Chain of Command page on the website, to see who to contact for entrance. New recruits must be above level twenty and be in good standing, which means we will probably send someone to group with you to see how you handle yourself.

Everyone has a duty to the AOTBR and to their peers to uphold certain standards of conduct. As a member you are the life blood of the guild and each one of you knowingly or not is a representation of us. Do not cheat anyone especially one of your own. Do not beg for money, equipment, or PLing, this makes you look bad to us and makes the AOTBR look bad to others. Treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Officers have a special duty to the AOTBR, they are the backbone of the army, they are to maintain peace and order. They are to facilitate resources, help with details, raids, rumbles and special events. They are here to advise you, and help you if they can. Please keep in mind, they being an officer may not be able to drop everything just to help you at that moment, but they will do what they can, when they can. The officer motto is : I AM AN OFFICER OF THE ARMY OF THE BLACK ROSE NO ONE IS MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN I. I as the General will hold each of them to that.

As any army we also have a rank structure. I am the Commanding General. The Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCOS) reports directly to me, and is to run the guild if I am absent for any length of time.

The JSOC are a governing body set up with four members headed by the chairman. They are responsible to ensure that all aspects of guild operations are running smoothly. Regimental and Corps leaders report to them directly.

Corps Leaders, These are the embodiment of their class. They were either hand picked by me in the beginning or were voted into the position by their peers and approved by the JCOS. Their job is to make sure people are knowledgable about their class and any quests they should do to make their EQ time more beneficial.

Regimental Leaders. These are the main raid and event planners, however any member can plan a raid, but they should clear it through the appropriate channels. These Units are sectioned by level. Each set of levels is a unit (i.e. 1/13th Infantry Training Regiment is for characters that fall in the level range of 0-20) The Commander and Executive officer (XO) are in charge of making sure their unit stays active and keep their people moving up to the next unit.

As a member you have a chain of command and may fall under two or more officers. Heres how this works. We will say we have a new 25th LVL ShadowKnight named Scrubbins.

When this person looks for direction he/she can ask anyone, however we have a Chain of Command to help even out the burden. Scrubbins has a Regimental Commander (CO) and an Executive Officer (XO) these are his commanders until he reaches the requirement for the next regiment.

These people can help him find partners groups or raids for quest platinum xp or just fun. He/She is also welcome to go on any event they plan. This will help the Esprit de Corps (team spirit) and also give Scrubbins a little friendly competition, which is healthy for morale.

He/She also has a Corps Leader whom all Shadowknights fall under. This person is there to help pass on information to people within that class who have questions.

Based on this information, you the soldier of the AOTBR should now know where you stand in the greater scheme of things. I hope this clarifies some of your questions. Feel free to give any suggestions to the chain of command who will in turn give them to me. If they cannot help you, they will refer you to me directly, for advice.

Kill is Such a Friendly Word
