Subject: Letters of reprimand

As we have awards for performance above and beyond what is expected, we must also have a way to discourage behavior that is sub par, or unaccepted.

A way to discourage these behaviors will be Letters of Reprimand. These Letters will be held in each person's file for a designated amount of time.

Officers in the guild will be responsible for issuing Letters of Reprimand. This is not to say that Officers themselves are above such reproach. Should a member feel an Officer's behavior warranted a Letter of Reprimand they will need to take their issue to a Higher Ranking Officer.

Ranks are such;

General
JSOC
Corp Officers
Regimental Commanders from highest Regiment down
Regimental XOs.

So that should a Corp Officer's behavior warranted a Letter, it would have to be issued by the JSOC or the General himself.

When an Officer issues a Reprimand it should be backed by at least that Officer and one other that agrees the behavior warranted such a disciplinary action. The exception to this will be any Letter issued from the JSOC or the General. All others must be support by at least 2 Officers and if possible one should be from the JSOC. If no JSOC or the General is not present and two other Officers are in agreement the Letter will stand.

All Letters of Reprimand will be reviewed by the JSOC and/or The General. All appeals will be handled by the JSOC or the General. 2 members of the JSOC should be present to handle or hear all appeals. If two can't agree their lock will be broken by one other member of the JSOC, or the General. If the General is present he, himself can settle any appeal.

Please beware, many people in the guild play more than one toon, so that a member of the JSOC or an Officer may be on-line but on as a different toon. The member can back or work towards an appeal as any toon. Also know that toon can issue a Letter of Reprimand, so long as it is backed by another Officer.

Also please take note, Letters of Reprimand will not need to stack for the same offense. One may receive a Reprimand for 1 offense and get a 2nd Reprimand for a different offense.

There will be 3 letters of Reprimand issued. Their effects are listed below.

The 1st Letter of Reprimand will be an extreme warning. No other action will be necessary, but the recipient of the Letter will be therefore warned not to replicate such behavior.

The 2nd Letter of Reprimand will immediately put the recipient back on probation for a length of time of 30 - 60 days.

The 3rd Letter of Reprimand will remove any member from the guild. This will be handled by a member of the JSOC or the General.

Behaviors that can lead to a Letter of Reprimand are those that are sited in Rule of Conduct. Some of which have been discussed at Guild Meetings.

Such as Cursing in OOC or Shouts across the zone.
Any behavior that may tarnish the reputation of the guild as a whole.
Open recruiting or harassing other players.
Insubordination.
Cheating players.

Any member of the guild caught cheating or hacking the game. Or any such behavior will warrant an automatic removal from the Guild.
