I can say that the great dane that I took care of all of the time would not hesitate to EAT anyone that was unfamiliar with him and he was willing to prove that anytime of the day just ask my boyfriend at the time....When he looked up and saw a 184lb GD showing him his pearly whites for trying to hug me.....Once I told Mars it was ok Mars went and laid down but watched him the entire time...As a whole they are overbred but I wouldnt underestimate them and their ability to protect
