就算全新到的都未必好gar!!!!!好多出廠QC都麻麻!當你試過ok0個支無問題,通常短期都唔會有問題的.

Hi abc,

"特別係selmer !大家都知道佢比香港既貨都唔係好好 (更加唔好寄望係最好), 我係tomlee試佢新到既貨都有漏氣既!"

You've tried the Selmer Alto Reference 54 in Tom Lee, haven't U? I've tried a few from the stock and they're out of tune as well !!! I know it's a reminiscence of the eternally great Selmer Mark VI once astonished everyone in the 1950s. But nowadays there're many more new competitors and really superb productions like Yanagisawa, I can't really understand why this Reference 54 is so much overstated.

To Saxdog,

Sending your beloved instrument for checkup after 1 year of purchase is definitely the worst thing. It means you've bought a defective product - usually the wellbeing of an instrument could be maintained for several times longer than that!
Besides, there's no such need for annual check up like what you would do with the doctors/dentists. You can just find out and buy the necessary maintenance tools to take good care of the gear YOURSELF, such as cleaning paper for keypads/mouthpiece patch/polishing cloth/sax bore swab. That's the only best way to keep your gear in good shape. Why bother with the so-called 1yr guarantee when you are NOT in need?

Steve
