I stopped doing Halloween a few years back when it fell on a volleyball night and I wouldn't be home anyways. I always put a lot of effort into it and seldom had more than a handful of kids. I always gave out the sour candies - kids love them! And I no longer do (used to when I was a kid) so I wouldn't eat the stuff before the kids came. So when I always had a lot of leftovers, I would bring them to work to be put out on the secretary's desk for whoever wanted some. I just decided it wasn't worth my effort and most nights I'm not home anyways and if I was, I would have to take time off work to be home at 5 when it starts (I get off at 6 and home by 7). So I quit.
