Thank you for being so open, humble, and sincere in your questioning. It's much easier to share when a person doesn't have a confrontational attitude, which many do.

I think that some people believe that all religions lead to heaven, but usually those same people have a problem with the Bible as being God's Word. According to the Bible, "God loved the world (you can insert your name here) so much that He sent His only Son, that whoever (your name) believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16).
Believers believe in the eternal life of one's soul after the body dies and if one has trusted in God's Word they know that they will spend eternity (forever) somewhere.
According to the Bible, we are all given free will and a choice. God is a gentleman, He won't force anyone to love Him back. He, being Holy and the Creator of all things, cannot look upon sin but has provided a covering for sin in Jesus Christ. When we accept His free gift of grace (undeserved favor), we are covered and Christ becomes our bridge to God. Until then, all have fallen short of the glory of God and are separated from Him by this deep chasm (canyon) of sin (wrong thoughts, wrong words, wrong deeds, unbelief, etc.). In ourselves, we are powerless to be perfect thus there are no works good enough to get us into heaven. That said, the word "saved" comes from Ephesians 2:8,9--"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
The Bible speaks out against having any other gods, worshipping idols, sorcery and the occult, deviant behavior, and other hindrances to fellowshipping with God, which many religions follow as a result of their culture and/or tradition, or having been deceived. One thing I like to remember is that the objects of their worship still lie in their graves. If you are familiar with the Easter celebration, you have heard of the resurrection of Jesus after He died. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He lives, sits at the right hand of the Heavenly Father, and intercedes on our behalf to God. In my opinion, based on my personal study which led to my belief and faith, no man, idol, sacred cow, statue, or god can make these claims!
If you have a Bible, read for yourself beginning with the gospel of John, asking God to reveal Himself to you; and visit a church or two with your friends from work. If you don't have a Bible, Relo would be happy to send you one, as he has done for many others. I hope I have been of some help!
